Hi
I have a new lexmoto 125, roughly abot 2 months old but it has recently started to ged a rubbing / grinding noise from front. At first it was when i pushed right /left but recently it can be heard when pushing forward. I thought it was plastics creaking because it was new and just wearing in but now its definately not. the supplier said it could be break adjustment when i took it for second service and after picking back up he said was sorted but as soon as i got going it all started again. any body any clues what it could be? if i could adjust somthing lol.

Im very new to biking so still learning

thanks

its new, and under warrenty, just take it back to the dealer and have them fix it..
if they wont, contact lexmoto directly and explain the situation

Mr borg should be able to clarify the legal situation, i think you should be able to reject/return the bike as not fit for purpose if they cant fix it for you

if your on facebook, they have a site/page and are very active on it, worth joining and then you can message them directly and upload photos etc directly to them if needed,

the main company seems helpful via that page, but then its bad publicity for them if they fubar it up on there

Which Lexmoto? They're nearly all "125"s. Wink

Right, take the free legal advice that random strangers on the intardtubes have Googled...

Sounds like the brakes binding or the bearing going. Neither one will be a big deal for them to diagnose or sort, if they just got on with it. Don't let them fob you off again with any "See if it gets better" tosh - or "They all do that", the other favourite GTFO ploy.

Also, wut, 2 months old and 2nd service? You buy 125s because they're piss easy to work on yourself. Very Happy

In this case, you'll want to work out whether it's the brake or the bearing. Put it on the centre stand, put some weight on the rear and spin the front wheel. Apply Mk 1 ear. If you're in doubt, touch the front brake and listen to the difference in sound, or slacken off the bolts or take out out and rotate the caliper away from the disk.

There's really not a lot going on there, you'll be able to figure it out pretty quickly.

The other thing is, have a look at the brake master cylinder on the bars. There's a little sight window in it with min and max level markers. You should be able to see the level of the brake fluid, the reservoir shouldn't be absolutely full.

Could the tyre be rubbing on the mud guard? An easy check.
