what carbs and jets do i need for a 70cc upgrade

ive got myself a 50cc 04 typhoon and i plan to put a 70's kit on it but i dont know what carb or jets i should get for it ive been told i need size 12 jets but i obviously dont know if this is a lie or not

help anyone?

12's sounds ok, as long as you have Big Green™ Power bands you should be fine.

Don't bother. The performance increase will be tiny, it will cost a load of money, and even a tuned scooter is still a crappy scooter.

Sell the scooter, buy a bigger bike, and go faster. Job done.

you will need a jet kit and go through the process of trial and error, no one will be able to give you the exact size, we don't know the current set up, you know slapping a 70cc kit on requires more changes than just that right? like roller weights, sports exhaust, better brakes, clutch springs, drive belt and other stuff I've gladly forgotten.

but you're 16, and you won't listen to anyone that tells you that this is a bad idea.

I've tried this, and I hate myself for spending so much money when I should have just waited half a year, sold the 50cc, saved the money from the "mods" and gotten a 125 which would out perform a 70cc in every way.

Your toy WILL go bang, because if you need to ask what size jets you need, you clearly won't be able to maintain it with the TLC and experience it will demand.

In the end, you're probably going to spend the equivalent of a years worth of insurance on this bike, to end up voiding your current insurance.

There are scooter forums dedicated to this crap, find one, seek advice from them on how to set up your rollers/clutch to wheelie easier, I don't think you will have much luck here mate.
