Worn clutch shoes on Scooter?

Hi all,

Came across a problem on my lads scooter. When starting with electric starter the clutch doesn't seem to catch properly and makes a very loud noise. Also in slow traffic at speeds of around 5mph it judderes and vibrates like mad. When slowing down it idles at around 5mph so I'm assuming that this could be down to worn clutch shoes? Does this sound right maybe?

Another observation I had was when it reaches 50mph you can feel it pull back and can't seem to get anymore from it. Is there anything that could help to get a little more out of it?
Scooter is a Yamha Cygnus X 125 2008 model.

its really very hard to wear out a cbt's clutch. I would guess one of the clutch pads spring has broken. (part 27) which holds the pad against centri force while the engine is idling. this could possssibly cause vibration, but more inclined to this as you say it idles at 5mph - it shouldn't be trying to move at all at idle.

It could be the shoes, springs or the actual bell it grabs onto. As said above, shoes are pretty hard to wear. A replacement clutch isn't too expensive, when I had a scooter I found that PM tuning clutches performed the best.

Also, make sure the nuts are all torqued up, if I didn't do it properly, my clutch would come loose and not grab properly.
