so, after months of staring longingly at ebay, finally got myself one of them!

Mr. Green

this one has 23k on it (had a new engine put in in 2008 after a crash), and lots of mods:
ZXR750 wheels
custom exhaust (bloody loud!)
K&N pods & crank breather
CVK40 carbs from ZZR1100
GSXR750 front calipers
GSXR750 radiator
jack up kit
...etc.

I've done 40-odd miles back, mostly motorway miles but it's mad the power it has (coming from a GPZ500!)

Anyways, obligatory photo whorage:

If that was the one you were posting about the other week without the ZZR1100 cams then get that mod done! I just did it last week and it's mad how much more go it has in the top end and with the mods you already have on the bike you should be easily pushing 130bhp+ with new cams.

Looks good though, you should enjoy it!

Head over to www.zrxoc.com (British based site, not the Yank version) and introduce yourself. Excellent bunch of guys over there who know everything there it to know about these.

Once you get more than 20 posts and have been a member for 7 days you'll get access to all the workshop stuff which is incredibly helpful.

A user called Pal on there will source and fit a set of ZZR cams for you cheaper than a Kawasaki dealer will do a valve check (which is part of the cam swap job anyway) so worth bearing in mind at a major service!

I've had mine for over 4 years and put almost 35,000 miles on it so fire away if you have any questions.

will do, cheers Smile i'm gonna go out for a bit tomorrow and see what's what, completely not used to the power! I noticed the gear lever really needs some good positive pressure to get the thing to shift properly, but havent 'tested' most gears apart from 5th as i was on the motorway Laughing

i'll bear that in mind too - if i remember right he's in Reading which isn't far from my mum's place so could work out nicely!

He's in Farnborough, a mere 280 mile ride to North Wales which is what I had to do the other night when I went to pick my bike up! Mostly motorway miles but went up the A5 and had a few "cam test moments" on the way home accelerating out of roundabouts Laughing
