after passing the dreaded tests, had the usual "wanna get out there" buzz, except that the recent weather was, to say the least - Shite - rain driven by gale winds and oh ye, hellstones in summer! which I had the privalage of experiancing the last week or so.

But hay presto, my perseverance, general stuborness and lack of any common sense produced a day of clear skies and no wind - soo what did I do, go out, not go out? I mean, being used (as I was) to leaning into wind, using the human windscreen wipers etc - would I get bored with clear roads, fall over due to no resistance, or get stopped because someone would mistakably think I was sticking the finger up - instead of imitating windscreen wipers?

Heck of course I went out and experianced such a ride, you people out there with non scottish typical summer weather must feel so lucky - I've even got midges blocking out the visor season starting next month to look forward to - can't wait.

Ye and the photo below displays the said clear weather, just in case no one believes we can have it, plus this is my first post sooo, hi everybody.

well actually, it only lasted as long as it take to have a pee, so blink and.......... but tomorrow it's gonna be sunny all frigging day and apparently warm with it, but only where I'm gonna be.....crusing along the B roads to aviemore followed closely (after a quick refreshing pit stop at the posh cafe) by zooming up the A9.

i.e posh, as in the wifes all past this having a pee in the bushes and cups of warm liquid from truck stops.

You'd think she would'nt care seeing as, yes, the bike and me are old marauders.

Apologise all, I know I forgot the golden rule " don't mention the great scots weather".

So in line with that I'd have to say that saturday was a dreadful day, just horrible - as can be seen from the photo below, the dinner break was a nightmare!!!

ye could'nt decide where to paddle the feet......

Sunday was a slightly better, except my wifes bike decided to develop an illness - had diarrhea within the fuel track somewhere and died alone the fast bits of the A9. you know along those rarest of things up here - duel carriageways.

not to worry, even though we had to crawl back at 60mph, thats fast enough for some excitement along the commonest of thing up here - narrow B roads - especially where sand from the recent sand storm we had is still prevelant on the corners...
