Surely this won't work?

https://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=320982262328&globalID=EBAY-GB

Surely the whole design is flawed by the fact that there is no exhaust turbine controlling the impella/compressor speed thus it will have no relation to engine speed other than throttle position? Let alone fueling. No mention of pitot tubes.

Tempted to buy just to see how shite it is. [/list]

Just logically think about it, its being powered by the battery which must be then charged by the car. If you wanted anything beneficial out of if, you would need the same power supplied that conventional superchargers get, I seriously doubt your cars electrics could handle that. Laughing

The nice thing about turbos is they recycle air which would otherwise have no other use.

Car? No chance. If I did decide to waste money it would get slapped on a pit bike.

A serious waste of cash! There is a Shorrocks blower on ebay cheaper than that.

Not worth it, better keep your engine stock or just add on a full system, aftermarket filters and jetting kit.

An electric hairdryer, without elements, I use one to light my charcoal barbecue. I removed it from a scooter at a wreckers. The insane power boost must have been what caused the rider to rear end someone.

You do get electric chargers for trucks to give a bit of an extra boost.
They have large banks of batteries and as you'd expect for something that needs to compress air rather than just waft it, are pretty powerful.
They drain their large banks of batteries pretty quickly I believe.

Almost all of these are scams, but in theory it could work.

Here's one that appears to actually do what it's supposed to:

interesting read from lordshaftesbury's link.

What I seem to understand, is that the boost comes on far too early at low revs (well the blower is an on/off switch?) and that the fuel mixture isn't calibrated/set up, therefore running lean in my opinion!
