I seem to have lost both seat bolts holding the seat on, and riding like this is annoying with a loose seat.

I noticed they're like thread inserts that go into the subframe, but these are spinning inside, so you can't tighten a bolt into them.

Anybody experienced this / got any ideas to remedy it?

Only thing I can think of is cable ties to hold it down, not ideal and will have to be replaced when, getting to battery or under tank, as you would know, I read on here about a bike failing mot for seat not secure.
Ps my rectifier prob was a dodgy connector.

Yeah well my MOT is due on Saturday. I've screwed some screws into it, then pulled on them a little to get a gap in the inserts and put some bearing lock down, just have to see if it works or not.

Good luck, you may have found a new fault with them, not surprised as you have to take the seat off for most jobs.

Yeah it's pretty fucking stupid. Can't even drill them out as they're just spinning in the subframe!

I don't know what's wrong with a quick-release seat. If I can get some kind of stud stuck in it, I guess I could just screw a bolt over the top, a nylock bolt or something.
