How long should a battery last - plugged into an optimate when not being used over the winter.
Mine is dead again, only managed five and a half years. ____________________ Current bike: Kawasaki Z750S |

I would say that 5 and a half years is a reasonable life to expect out of a battery.
I'd say normal is 3 to 5 years. |

I suppose it beat the last one (that wasn't plugged into an optimate when not in use) by over three years. ____________________ Current bike: Kawasaki Z750S |

£29.99 including delivery (YUASA YTX9-BS). Arrived this afternoon and just fitted. Of course, I now feel like a master mechanic - do my skills have no bounds? ____________________ Current bike: Kawasaki Z750S |

I've had my motobatt for about 3 months, new regulator was fitted at the same time and now my indicators don't work when my headlight is on.
Also the neutral tell tale is going lighter so looks like I'll be getting a new battery if this carries on. ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS
