Splendid work. Mod 2 is just a ride around. Doesn't matter where you go, just go there safely and confidently, job's a good 'un.

Mod 2 can be a piece of piss if you get your head right. My first crack at it I panicked. I was in the wrong lane on a round about and realised I was going the wrong way so cut across a lane forgetting to shoulder check and almost getting wiped out by a 4x4.

The test fell apart from there on and I had 7 majors and a bunch of minors.

Numpty! Rolling Eyes

Second time out I decided to just have fun. I was singing to myself in my lid, pretending the instructor was a sat nav, and just enjoying the ride... I got 1 minor.

Only advice I can give, once you get onto the bike, take your time getting ready to ride off... shake your shoulders, stretch, release some nerves by shouting if need be. Do anything in your power to get some tension out.

Try to look at your test as 10 mini tests, not as one big problem. So first part of test is to get on the bike, do checks and move off. That's 1/10th Complete right there.

2nd part of test (instructor says turn right on round about). Talk your way through what you need to do... "I'm in left lane, need to move to right, check mirror shoulder check, indicator on, one final shoulder check, all clear, move, cancel indicator."... ok on roundabout "Keep right, when passing last but one turn off indicator left, shoulder check to left, all clear?, pull off left, cancel indicator". 2/10 done!... and so on.

You'll find the test will be over before you know it as when you break it down it makes it easier to deal with.

Just try to enjoy it... if you fail then you can re-take as many times as you need to.

Good luck Thumbs Up
