Anyone use them?

Thinking of taking the wing mirrors off the gsxr and putting these on. Do they take some time to get use to?

I rode my cbr with just the right bar end mirror and loved it, it took a week or two to get the hang of but in the end the bike was narrower where it mattered so filtering was much faster and being curved you can see much more in a tiny mirror than you would expect.

Give it a go Thumbs Up

I love my bar end mirror on my Hornet, just one on the right hand side. Better view either side and behind with it.

Cheers all for the input.

I will need to sort out the indicator as its on the bloody mirrors.

But think I will try bar ends.

What about the squarer shaped ones?

Unless your bike's current mirrors have extra long stems I'd say they're actually an improvement on the original mirrors. They look like pointless stylised little trendy trinkets but they actually offer a very wide view of the road behind you with no intrusions like your shoulders blocking the view. Despite being apparently small the view they give is a good one. I like mine though they do periodically need tightening up once in a while, more so than OEM mirrors. The only downside I can really see is that they'd crack very easily if you dropped the bike on its side but the same goes for 'normal' mirrors.

These ones are awesome for practical use : https://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/261134397320?var=gv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&_lwgsi=y&cbt=y&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=65&ff19=0

They look brilliant, give a fantastic wide view of the road behind. Being so low they are easy to adjust on the fly. Can get them as cheap as £30'ish a set. If anyone wants the link I will try to find tomorrow.

Do they just grip the bar end weight or replace it?

Found these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BAR-END-MIRRORS-Honda-CB1000R-CB1300-CB600F-Hornet-CBF600-CBR125R-CBF125-/111068953826?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item19dc39bce2 which seem similar...

I think they look really cool. One day I hope to build or buy a café racer. Bar end mirrors with clip on handlebars just look the business, especially if attached to a Norton Commando.

Mine came with weights, but they also came with a big rubber inner grip and I just clamped them onto my existing renthal bar ends. Will take a pic later.

I think they are all the same ones to be honest, just eBay spammers aiming for as many keywords as they can.

I also got those Triumph style ones, but the mirrors are too flat for me. I prefer my concave circular one that are adjustable in position.

Yup. My renthals bar ends are tiny, not like normal bar ends. Theres an expanded rubber grip about that brings it down to almost renthal bar end size. The mirror itself without the rubber grip should fit most normal bar ends. I have a scruffy bit of grip mat in there too for extra vibration reducation (4 stroke 125 life eh? Smile ). Pics attached.

I use them on my Hornet and think they make it look awesome. Took a few days to get used to but apart from that no complaints

Alright. My ride this morning confirms it for me, I think.

This is my usual bar end mirror, circular and concave. Wide angle. One side only. This is the one I prefer. Much wider view and doesn't vibrate as much. (right handlebar)

https://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y41/doovydoo/5F202AF4-2284-4623-A9E9-4DE3929B4BF7-518-0000001B58A17A12_zpsc1e8182f.jpg

And these are the other 'Triumph' style ones. In my opinion, not wide enough, vibrate a bit much and I'm not too keen on the blue tint on the glass (might just be the models I got that have this). Also make the bike a little more 'precious' for filtering as they stick out just that bit more.

So to conclude - my original point, circular wide angle bar end mirror for me Thumbs Up

Always fancied a set of these but not seen them pulled off well on a sportbike like a gsxr, those 'triumph' ones (with the blue tint) look smart though. Anyone got pics of them on a sportbike?

Also what do you plug the original mirror holes with and/or use as indicators if they're normally housed in the stock mirror?
