Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Biker Boyz is the only one I have seen, and I have it on DVD Confused
The only reason I ever watched it was to see the bikes, and the bikes/stuff in the bonus features etc, the actual film was just comically bad.
I would probably get more enjoyment watching a 3 hour home made film of a 50 year old man jumping around his house in a spiderman costume.
But still, watch it one time, just so you can say you've seen it, and laugh. :>

Easy Rider is the best! Cool

Also if you ever see the program 'EasyRiders' (completely unrelated to the film) on one of the Sky channels (think it's Travel & Adventure), watch it! It's a really interesting video diary series of a group of blokes going around the world on XT350's.

Thinking about that, I believe Ewan Magregor (sp) is doing something similar at the moment which is gonna be made into a film. Smile

I was amused by MI 2, when the Daytona and speed triple did that head on collision bit. Also, if you look carefully, or in fact is was quite obvious. One minute they are on the road wizzing along on road tyre's, then suddenly they both ended up with full on nobly off road tyres.

EasyRider Cool

Yea, i've seen that Around the world trip too, is funny when there in Siberia, and the road ends...and turns into bog. They end up taking all their luggage off the bike so the bike will be lighter etc, and ride the bike 2km's up the road, then go back for their luggage later. When they go back, all their luggage is gone Laughing Confused .

Not a film I know, but that photo-documentary where that lady went through Chernobyl on a Ninja was interesting.

As for films I really haven't seen a decent bike film, well, ever. Enjoyed the bike chase in Mission Impossible II but thats about it Smile

Apparantly "On any Sunday " is meant to be good, cant say Ive seen it, but Men and Motors were making a huge fuss over it when they were showing it a few months back. Has anyone seen it and what did they think?

There is a really cool one called masters of menace and a really old one called hell riders.

I've seen some of the fast bikes videos (can't really call them films) one where they go from calais to cannes and another 2 called pulp friction. They were quite good actually. Thumbs Up Mr. Green

Laughing And then while still in Siberia one of the bike's wheel bearings breaks up. The first house they come to and the bloke living there has exactly the right bearing they need, then invites them in for dinner and a vodka drinking session! Classic Very Happy

Not yet mentioned, of those that I've seen:-

'Black Rain' - film set in Japan, Michael Douglas stars, the film was 'bike based - Mike on a black Harley (XLCR style IIRC), a race with a GSX750 poss a Katana, the film's full of bosozuk (sp? young Jap bikers bovver boys) loads of bikes - FZR's - I reckon they were 250's/ 400's. Worth watching Thumbs Up

'Mad Max' - as well as young Gibson with the 'Interceptor' V8's, there's more Suzy GS thou's and Z1 900/ 1000's etc etc etc than you can shake a stick at - grrrreat film.

'I Bought a Vampire Motorcycle' - comedy horror with Neil Morrissey and Michael Elphick - erm, didn't think much of it. The bikes were 60's type twins IIRC; Nortons or Beezas type thing . . .

'Electra-Glide in Blue' - cult 60's/ 70's film about a 'bike cop - typical 60's style film - I didn't rate it that much.

'Shame' - Australian film about a woman on her (1100?) Katana riding round Oz - after breaking down, she comes across a 'redneck' style small town where the teenage lads get their kicks from raping the teenage chicks and this is accepted practice within the community - our heroine steps in and tries to make a difference. She rides the 'bike herself by all accounts and there's a couple of burnouts and lenghty wheelies as she makes her mark in the town - typical gritty Oz film, absolutely TOPS and recommended.

'Silver Dream Racer' - or was it 'Machine'? average flick with David Essex as a racer developing a special racebike.

'The Wild One' - Brando launcher - average, loads of fifties yank iron.

recently - Bikerboyz; wasn't a particularly good film, but eminently watchable for th 'bike content alone.

. . . there's another couple of majors films I can't quite remember . . .

Worthy mentions of films including 'bikes:-

Top Gun(GPZ750R); <TV>CHiPs(Kawa KZ1000's?); Restless Natives(GP125); StreetHawk(Modded Yam scrambler?); Terminator2(HD and XR100L); Matrix(Triumph speed triple?); Matrix2(Ducati996 or whatever) TOPS action!;

If you like Mad Max, you'll like 'Stone' - another Aussie film, this time about a cop who has to infiltrate a bike gang. I have it on very old and wobbly VHS.

Also try 'Eat The Peach' which is about these 2 Irish guys who decide to build a wall of death in their back garden. Funny and quite touching.

one of my mates from work went with him year before last when he was riding the R1

He went around the world on a Hayabusa - and Sanders couldn't leave him in the twisties in Mexico on his R1 with all his gear in the back up vehicle - big pansy Rolling Eyes

you mean this?

https://www.sportsbikerider.com/useruploads/production/SBR55_Leno_Y2K_Turbine.jpg
"Boasting over 300 horsepower and 425 ft/lbs of torque, the Y2K jet cycle seems far beyond the realm of the best sport bikes yet created.
"
"The brainchild of Marine Turbine Technology's president Ted McIntyre, the theoretical speed of the jet cycle is over 250 mph. McIntyre states, "When we took it out for a run... the tires started smoking at 175 mph because we just didn't have the room to accelerate." Did someone say "Bonneville"?

Believe it or not, this machine is street legal. But before you drool all over your keyboard and take a hammer to your piggy bank, the price tag is around $250,000. I don't even think it has a neat little tool kit under the seat. Hey, who needs a tool kit? Can you tune a turbine??

The bike rolls on carbon fiber wheels and the frame, suspension and electronics are state of the art. The "rear view mirror" consist of a rear mount camera and a monitor mounted in the dash. Could this be the future of High Performance street bikes?

I sure hope so! "

And some specs, note quite 0-200 in 2 secs Laughing but the company policy is it your y2k doesnt do 250mph straight out of the box....you get a full refund Laughing
