I don't really read any travel blogs. i have a few bookmarked but don't bother much unless the person has a write up on somewhere I'm going, or rides the same bike as I do.

Anyway, just wondering what you guys think of them in terms of how stories and adventures are layout out?

Do you prefer to read a big illustrated ride report at the end of a trip, or individual posts as the ride progresses?

One things that most people's sites lack is the ability to read reports in reverse chronological order.

Personally I'm not that interested in the stories on the blogs, but more in hint, and suggestions from people's experiences, and of the bike prep and planning is always intriguing too.

This is an area of interest, I am bit of a Bike Picture Whore... Ie I don't consider it is a picture unless a bike is in it.

So for me I think it is worth seeing the tour unfold an a day by day basis, a quick summary of the day, route, pro's con's pitfalls, highlights followed by some quality pictures to back it all up. To have a weeks worth of pictures and write ups in one hit is a lot to plod through, but even if it is on a day to day basis you might only read it every few days so it is much of a sameness unless you are following it daily... if you get my drift...

Most free to use blogging software offers an option to view reports in reverse chronological order such as Google Blog and the like.

If you utilised a forum for instant to blog on using a single thread would work and again readers can set in your personal options to read reports in reverse chronological order if they prefer.

Sometime ago (2004) I had a shot at writing up my touring adventures for the family to see what we'd been up to on our rides even went as far as doing all the rides I went out on even if just for one day around the UK (sad really). I can post a link if you are interested.
