I know for a fact that my bike insurance runs out on 4th June, but I've had no renewal paperwork through.
Went to check my paperwork and can't find it anywhere.
I couldn't even remember who I was insured with until I checked an old bank statement which revealed that I paid out to Carol Nash this time, last year, but a quick look on the Carol Nash website and they seem to want me as a new customer??
Surely, they should have a record of me being an existing customer?
Also, what to do about my no claims? If I take a new policy, they'll want proof of no claims?
Confused greatly. Confused

If you weren't insured you would be lucky to have gone a year and not triggered an ANPR!

I am insured (just checked MID) but I just can't figure out why I've had no renewal stuff through?
Not being able to find my paperwork to get a policy number is a shit though.

My last renewal from admiral came through as junk mail. Managed to catch it a couple of days before it renewed and renegotiated by phoning them and having a go. Think its a new tactic to slip an inflated quote through without you having the chance to cancel it. Strangely enough the address the actual certificate came through didnt trigger my junk filter but all the renewal paperwork had . . . not that im cynical . .

Looking on the bright side - if they sign you as a new customer then they'll probably give you a far better rate than if they suss it's a renewal.
When they ask for NCB proof (which tends to happen after you've stumped up your money) then I'd just tell them the previous policy was with them and then politely question their admin abilities.
