Someone sent me this... getting far too frequent Sad

Quote:

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses this morning following a fatal accident in Helmingham last night.

The emergency services were called at about 7pm with a report that a Suzuki motorcycle had crashed into a tree along Otley Road.

A volunteer doctor from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service charity (SARS) assisted paramedics at the scene.

A police spokesman said: “The rider of the motorcycle, a 28-year-old man from Ipswich, was taken to Ipswich Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

“The road was closed whilst officers carried out an accident investigation at the scene. The road reopened at 1.45am this morning.

“Police are appealing for witnesses and are keen to hear from anyone who had been travelling along the B1079 (Otley to Debenham road) and saw the motorcycle prior to, or when the collision happened.”

Calls should be made to Pc Danny Ormes at Suffolk Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101.

He's more than likely done this to himself, which is significantly better than being hit by an inattentive driver.

Oh Aye... Are we a remotely located Accident Investigator are we? Rolling Eyes

How the fcuk can you tell what happened to cause someone hitting a tree when there is ZERO facts/evidence to suggest what caused it.

I could equally suggest a drunk driver forced him off the road etc.

Well, considering the police 'appeal' doesn't mention that they are seeking to find anyone or any other vehicle, then it would be safe to assume that nobody else would have been involved, even if there was a remote possibility of someone else being involved then it would have been stated.

After all, what's the point of releasing an appeal, and leaving out important facts like wanting to trace anyone else involved.

They're appealing for witnesses. That means they don't know what happened. They don't seem to be looking for another vehicle at this stage, but that only tells you that there wasn't contact, or if there was, they haven't found evidence of it yet.

It's entirely possible that he was forced to take evasive action which caused the crash.

What he said, was it a BCFer or are we going to setup an online cemetery to post for every random biker that dies nationwide?

If the police put everything they know 'out there' do you not think it would be counter productive?

Agreed, I can't watch them anymore though because they fill me with rage and give me even more valid reasons for despising them.

If you start looking for reports of biker fatalities, you'll find them, especially when the sun and the power rangers come out to play.

However, motorcycle KSIs are actually dropping. It's pedalists and footists who are getting mashed up more.

Semper fi fallen brother-hero, may winged kittens carry your soul to heaven, and all that stuff that you'll see elsewhere.

I had a box full of fucks somewhere. However, it seems to be impossible to find whenever there's either an RTA thread or scaredycat posts. The fact that both of these conditions have been met simultaneously has led to the permanent disappearance of my box of fucks.

Suffice it to say, I am bereft of fucks to give.

You wouldn't be so indifferent if one of your family/friends was killed by a pressure cooker accident on a fun-run though would you?

Well... Would you punk?

Let's play "find the bikers". Hint: slightly more than kidney stones or cock rot, but less than both of them combined.
