I like to keep a nice expensive item under my arm at the till in full view of the person serving me, pay for the rest and act like it's not there. You'd be surprised how much free stuff big companies like to give away in this way.

They like to keep it quiet though so don't mention it to them, it all started with a folded up newspaper under my arm years ago that I genuinley forgot to pay for, thats when i first found out about the offer.

Works well with hats in clothing stores too, especially if you have your wallet and keys in the hat whilst you go to pay for the other things. The till bird seems to know 100% that you're using their free stuff offer.
