Hi all

Had a bit of a suprise last night - I haven't used my 05 ZX6's Cyclone V2 alarm for a fair while as its normally locked down within an inch of its life in the garage, but went to visit a friend and when going to alarm the bike - nothing happened Rolling Eyes

Edit - Have tryed the spare remote and also new batteries in the remotes, neither had any affect. All wires look visually connected to where they should be so i'm unsure where to go next really Confused

Thanks all

Not a lot to go wrong.

Live, Neutral and a fuse.

If they are all fine then maybe the remote battery is too flat.

Maybe worth a new remote battery then, figured as it lit up it was fine but i suppose could be a weak signal like you said so i'll give that a shot first, thanks

Hmm... Just tryed the spare remote and also new batteries, neither had any affect so its something internal/wiring on the alarm.

Is anything i could do besides checking everythings connected without any electrical knowledge : Confused

That's all there is.
Check the black and red wires are connected and the fuse is ok.

Not all that sure on the alarm source to be honest, for the price it wouldn't be a great shock although when theyve worked [on my last two bikes worked over 2 years faultlessly on each] they're great alarms for the price i would say.

I did notice today however when attempting to contact the old manufacturer N Cook Securitly Ltd, which before appeared to be a private manufactuer in the past, it now seems to of moved to more ebay/other websites so it wouldn't suprise me to be honest.

You mentioned a fuse, sorry for possibly a stupid question but i'm clueless with electrics at the moment - what and where is the fuse you were having issues with. As far as i've seen so far i've got the obvious wires, the black 'alarm' box and the circular 'speaker' unit that rings out the alarm.

Besides that i'm clueless Rolling Eyes ...

If I remember correctly it runs from main box on red wire. I think it's a 20 amp blade fuse. Hth!
