Hi,

I've just purchased a new Metzeler Tourance front tyre for my GT550 as they have great reviews, but when looking for a matching rear tyre, I find that Metzeler don't make a matching 120 90 18 65H rear. Is there a similar tyre by another manufacturer that would match the front or should I go for a pair of Bridgestone Battlaxe or similar?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Alan

I used to use Avon Roadriders on my GPZ500s, they offer very good wear rates are relatively cheap and a grippy enough tyre - probably would also be a good tyre for the GT and in sizes to suit. Bridgestone's on the other hand tend to wear very unevenly so you have to chuck them earlier than you should and I couldn't see any improvement with them.
