I have a pump that fits both presta and shrader valves, that uses a two sided adapter, when I pump my road bike tyres up so say 110psi, I can't get the pump off quick enough and they go down to about 95psi, what pumps are you all using to maintain the pressure when you're finished inflating?

Pump them to 125psi and let them drop to 110 while you undo the valve?

Air shouldn't be coming back out of the valve and even if it does, there should be a check valve in the pump. Where is the air escaping from?

I use a BBB airstorm 160psi track pump. It cost £18 four years ago:
