Friends runner cuts out when he rides whilst its raining for longer than 10 minutes, he's changed the spark plug, HT coil and checked as much as the loom as he can gain access to, waiting for a tool kit to remove all the bits and bobs.

Still the bike cuts out when ridden in the rain, any ideas or thoughts?

His air box isn't in the greatest shape, could it be water getting into the air filter?

If there's a leak in the carb, would water splashing up onto it some how cause it to bog down?

Water to the spark plug would cause it to cut out strait away? because the bike bogs down and then cuts out apparently.

Could water cause the auto choke to malfunction?

i'd say airfilter bogging down too much fuel not enough air.
