Am now 550 sheets lighter after getting this on ebay. seems decent enough, albiet tatty, but after the last one got stolen this will have to do. Now to find a way to get it home from London! Anyone with a van wanna earn a few quid get in touch, otherwise shiply will be getting the business.

Rode my friend's bike from Aberdeen to Leeds for him. That was fun. Suppose I shouldn't have pushed a bike I didn't know as much as I did though. Still alive, so I guess it was ok.

im tempted, but been given 100 quid offers on shiply, it would probably be more expensive to buy a train ticket and petrol to ride it back.

not sure on your distances, but I paid £28 for a return ticket from aberystwyth to coventry via birminham (booked night before travelled). and the bike cost me about £20 or so in fuel to get home via leicester.

granted it's time.. but check it out, can't be too bad. and you'd get to walk away should the bike be not as described. £100 isn't bad though for delivery to your door

If it's in London you could Megabus it. I've had tickets for a quid, five quid, 10 quid.

That looks like a good buy you got there. They are really good bikes. The only thing I hate about them is the brakes as they sieze up often when riding in the winter.

Having shims under buckets is a bit of a pain too imo but I deal with it (same as the zx9r).

Nah im being a little harsh on her, shes just a little bit tatty, fairing cracks etc.

Megabus is a good shout, but to be honest, it might just be easier for me to pay someone on shiply.

That's the key for me; £550 isn't much of a risk, if you have the time/skill/space to fix it up, if you don't, once it's delivered you're stuck with it.

I'm in Stoke, I'll give you a lift to London if you put the fuel in my car, or if you've got a car and the bike is road legal and insured I'll ride it back for you?

Agree I've just been looking at a GPX600R on ebay (dreaming) kinda like the look of them and Op's is very similar to this one to me.

Only £145 tp on insurance and A2 compatible as well.

Thanks for the offer, but i think a train would be cheaper. If we get any weather soon, should go out for a bimble, im sick of riding around on my own

Apart from the wrong colour rim tape (which affects economy to the tune of -2mpg) I can't see a lot wrong with that.

Get up there, check the oil, once around the block to make sure it isn't going to kill you, then bring it home.

job jobbed.

Great bikes. Downside is I've had some waterpump troubles. Definitely considering switching to electric.

Ride it and enjoy. Smile

That's why you've bought it, haven't you?

Otherwise you could stick to public transport or get 125cc to save money.
