On BBC 1 now.

I have seen it before but still find it stupid and funny that they didn't really include anything other than drag racing, which kind of means nothing when it comes to skill. Laughing

Still an alright film though. Very Happy

Just flicking through the channels before and came across this.

Gotta disagree with you saying it's an alright film though. My toes are curling up from its cringiness. Sick

That's what makes it good. Smile especially the tyre squeal coming from bikes that are going in a relatively straight line. Laughing

Nah I think that was another bike related film, still ridiculous, but a better film, I can't remember the name of it though.

That's the one!

The train scene is pretty realistic to be fair. I've done it before, several times.

Oh how I would love to be a biker boyz member. Crying or Very sad

I think it's actually not a bad movie. It's basically a classic 'Ghetto' movie with a motorcycling twist. The actor that plays 'Kid' is terrible, but the rest of the cast don't do too bad a job.

There is skill involved in drag racing but they don't really demonstrate it on screen... it's pretty much impossible to do. The stunts in the movie are all genuine stunts performed by real people, unlike Torque which was pretty much all wires CGI and fakery.

The only real downsides to Biker Boyz are the name, and the final confrontation on the dirt road. Take those away and it's actually not all that bad. It's one of my guilty pleasures.

I tried making Torque a guilty pleasure but it's just unwatchable. It really is a pile of shite.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

This came out in 2003.

At that time I was 15 and for my generation it was the only film that gave us bikes to drool over and showed us a community in biking.

Cos of that, I love it Very Happy

I know that too a degree there is a skill involved, but not enough to make it the main 'event' of a bike movie.

Plus the fastest bike will still usually win if the rider of the fastest bike is aware of how to change gear. Very Happy

EDIT: The scene where the car driver steps on it, really hard, and the needle hits 100 mph makes me laugh in every 'murican movie. Smile

Trainwreck it may be, but anyone know if it's repeated at any point?
