Wierd, i was thinking about a Joker style helmet this morning, whilst watching Dark Knight stuff on youtube, but was thinking the visor would have ruined the look, guess this bypasses that.

But yeah, would i wear it in public. Maybe. How much do those graphics affect your vision?

Not to my taste I'm afraid. I try to be the 'grey man' and not draw attention to myself.

How awesome are those helmets? Hmmm - let me see. On a scale of one to ten I would say minus infinity trillion and ninety fucking eleven thousand.

Roughly.

Neh - just joking. They're ace and you should totally get the whole set for xmas.

No different from the multicolour garish chavvy shite that fills the shelves at bike shops.

I'll stick to my plain pisspot.

I've always worn plain black lids, and I see no reason to change now. These things are for the kind of people who think that chromed knuckleduster cutouts are the height of aesthetics.

You're the only person I know who has a picture of Charley Boorman airbrushed on your bike with green metalflake paint.

I like the idea very much indeed - but I do not think it has been executed properly or with good taste. For instance, rather than the brash, gaudy designs could the manufacturers not have used that paint-over-visor method to bring us realistic heads - heads of celebrities or famous figures from history? It would be great if they could do custom ones if provided with photographs and other accurate representations to work from.

Personally I should like one in the guise of famous celebrity historian and right-wing rhetorician Professor David Starkey. And a spare lid done to represent blue-collar comedian Norman "testing, testing" Collier (RIP) - who I was a great fan of as a child and always dreamed of having his head in place of mine. Well now I can! Thanks to Planet Super Bike's Airbrushed Helmets - and...AND...I can ride around on my motorbike whilst doing so!!

I fear that is one of the major selling points sadly.

It's clearly Gandalf, you know, from Narnia.

That's all I've seen. Who else have you got on there? Legolas of Melniboné? Thoth Bombadil?

Mordred. Bastard incest son of Arthur. Played in the film by Robert Addie as an adult, and the Boorman as a kid. But the picture on the bike is of adult Mordred, therefore not Boorman.

Robert Addie died in 2003 of lung cancer, aged 43, the poor bugger.
