So I have a Akra slip on at the moment.

Is there anywhere I can just buy the down pipes separate and make it a straight through system at all? - or is that not possible?

Been looking everywhere but cant find the answer

Depending on the bike it may be a straight through already, not many bikes, or at least not many older bikes have a cat in the middle.

I have taken the cat off - so I guess it is a straight through.

Any better down pipes to get rather than factory?

A little off topic, is it possible to remove a CAT without angle grinding it out? My CBR has it pretty accessible but not sure if it'll just lift out.

Really not the best person to be answering this in all honesty. Would have thought there would be little difference unless you go for a full titanium system to save weight.

Again not the best person to be answering but I wouldn't have thought you needed to angle grind anything, I presume you can just by a replacement system with straight through pipes.

On my GSXR the cat was the removable part with the end pipe welded to that.

Otherwise, grind it off mate!

Speak with the makers of whatever brand of headers you're after. They tend to be sold as a full system, however some makers will probably sell you headers alone.

Whatever you get, expect it to be quite pricey, and budget for dyno work to make the most of it.
