There are 4 fully-licensed bikers in our department of 5 blokes and I don't think a single one has ridden to work (on Ride To Work Day) in the 7 years I've been there.

I might do it tomorrow but, in all honesty, it's a bit of a faff as I can be at work by car in less time than it takes to gear up and extract the bike from the garage.

It solely depends on who I am working with that day as to whether I ride or not. For some people I am their sole shopping support, so car is necessary...there is no way I can manage a month's shopping with them on the local bus...not no way no how!!! Shocked

I am dreading it.

All the weekend, fairweather, filtering @ 2mph riders cluttering up the roads and making my normally 30mins commute 45mins.

Shit, it's hard enough to find a bike bay with a spare spot in Glasgow on your average sunny day never mind on 'ride to work day'.
