Fast indicator flashing

Hi

Working on a Yamaha Jog scooter which has indicators that are flashing fast. All bulbs are ok and nobody has changed them to low-wattage versions.
The battery is knackered and when I put a battery charger on it seems to improve things slightly and slow them down a bit.

I don't know whether the battery thing is a red-herring or if the flasher unit it knackered.

Any thoughts ?

If the battery is knackered the indicators will flash slow not fast, the most common cause for fast flashing indicators is a lower wattage lamp than original or some silly LED conversion.

Thanks for the reply. In which case I might opt for a new flasher unit as I know that the bulbs are the originals.
