Last car thread I promise.
I'm after a new stereo for my future car, I don't want to spend loads sub £200 with fitting kit ideally.
I want it to have a USB so I can play music from a pendrive.
I want it to be able to work with the existing ford stalk controls volume/skip etc.
I want to be able to use it with my iphone to...
A play music from Spotify
B have the phone handfree (i.e. the stereo has a microphone on it)
DAB would be nice.
Other than that I'm not bothered don't care about playing DVD's (or CD's really)
It's going in a Fiesta and it can have a double din sized thing. ____________________ Well, you know what they say. If you want to save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs.
Skudd:- Perhaps she just thinks you are a window licker and is being nice just in case she becomes another Jill Dando.
WANTED:- Fujinon (Fuji) M42 (Screw on) lenses, let me know if you have anything. |

I put one of:

...in my car. Does everything you've asked for except integrate with the car steering wheel controls, although the built in microphone works but isn't super sensitive, so at speed you have to TALK QUITE LOUDLY for it to pick you up.
However, if you're planning on playing music from the phone via bluetooth (which is basically what I use it for 95% of the time) then you might find that the track skip commands are hard to get working - not impossible, but a lot of stereos will only support bluetooth call control and audio streaming, but not anything more complex (like track control). ____________________ Bike history: YBR125 -> XJ600 |
