Probably been done before but sure it can be entertaining once again Rolling Eyes

Seen my fair share of bad drivers over the years i've been biking, but every once in a while you get a real gem.

Today - Middle aged 'sensible' looking guy in a 4x4 pulling a trailer with a lawnmower in - Full mirrors, perfect visibility, decides having forced his way OUT of the left lane into overtaking lane, chugging along with his trailer, he wants to barge back in to the slow lane whilst braking, not content with cutting me up with the trailer he does it with the 4x4 meaning i have to slam the brakes on to avoid being wiped out by both.

Two minutes later - waiting to go onto roundabout, he pulls out in front of a huge fire engine WITH sirens blaring, leading to the fire engine slamming its brakes on and all the firemen stopping and staring in disbelief as he continues on around the roundabout.

Another two minutes later to get the hattrick, goes bludgeoning towards a zebra crossing - poor and rather oblivious teenage girl with headphones in texting wanders out onto crossing, inches away from losing her foot as he goes flying by.

I honestly despair sometimes - might as well put an egg timer on my bike and hope i get to watch it finish Rolling Eyes

Whats the worst you can remember Shocked ..

Maybe 7cars pulling of a slip road at an easy 20/30mph into my path with only using 100 or so metres of about a 800metres. I

It's hard to tell who was the worst road user I've seen but I've had three classics today.

First was this hooligan on a motorcycle trying to cut up the inside of me on a dual carriageway. Fuck only knows what he was thinking.

Then a fire engine comes hooning onto a roundabout as if its siren would just magic everyone out of the way. Some vehicles find it hard to disappear up their own arse, Fireman Sam!

To top it off, some bint with her iPod on just stepped out in front of me on a zebra crossing. She didn't even look once.

Seriously, it's enough to make me give up drink-driving!

Not the worst ever, but saw it happen right in front of me today. In my car coming home, keeping a good distance behind a L plater on a trials bike. We're on a 40 zone doing 40, approaching a left turn before a busy roundabout, and the biker indicates left at the last second. Fortunately I had guessed he was turning due to his positioning and deceleration (but no brake lights) As someone in the opposite lane was waiting to turn into the same side road across our path, the biker stopped dead in the road right in front of me, obviously wanting to let the car driver cross his path into the side road. At the same time he did his lifesaver a few seconds too late and saw me coming to a stop right behind him. At which point he decided to carry on into the side road anyway, compromising the other car driver, forcing her to brake to a halt while he continues his turn on her near side. I just hope that he thinks more next time, because he's not going to last long otherwise.

I was a passenger in an accident.

A small bike was stationary in front of us at a roundabout. The driver of the car I was in drove forward and rear ended him for no reason.

We was stationary, he was stationary just waiting for a chance to pull out and she just drove forward and smacked him from behind. Absolutely unbelievable.

Shocked ..

To be honest thats what scares me most, its not the boy racers, or the aggressive drivers or even the slightly unattentive - its the completely oblivious and totally unpredictables.

Only accident i've ever had and HOPE to have touch wood... woman did a U turn on a non-centre-barried 4 lane road, from the far lane into my opposite far lane, dodging traffic on her sides second lane and my sides second line, before coming out of no where in front of a bus 10 metres in front of me - hit her side on and went about 20 metres down the road... Neutral

Nutcases some people honestly Confused

I find that the worst drivers seem to operate in rural town areas...There is a junction with two lanes in Melton Mowbray, however no driver seems to grasp that the left lane is for turning left and the right lane is for turning right Shocked One car will sit in the left hand lane with the right hand indicator on, and another 4 will pile up behind and do the same thing! all gingerly one by one turning into the most huge gaps in the traffic I have ever seen. seems to always happen Confused

I suppose this is the worst driving I allways see, rather than one example Razz

At least they were moving... I've seen especially crappy drivers STOP because they didn't see what they felt was a suitable gap!

I remember going to Malaga, the dual carriageway that runs along the coast there often didn't have room for anything other than a give way line, so you'd be waiting for a gap to absolutely thrash your shitty rental Corsa up to 120km/h from a standing start.
