Honda cb400n crankshaft

Hi i've just bought a honda cb400n but unfortunately the crankshaft timing gear is missing a quarter of its teeth. I have tried finding a replacement on the internet but no luck, does anyone know of a suitable crankshaft from another model or could the one from the 250 model be a possible match. Thanks a lot

thanks, i've found that one as well. However paying 1000 euros for a part to a motorcycle i only paid 200 euros for doesn't seem to be worth it, besides the point that i don't have that kind of cash

If the 400 has then same stroke and just a bigger bore, the crank may well fit the 250. Find out the bore and stroke and you'll know if it's worth persuing.

250 and 400 cranks will not interchange, both the bore and stroke are different.

OP....have you tried a crank builder to see if the old one's repairable?
