Bolts for L-plate onto License plate

So the bolts on the bottom of my license plate were just... awful. Just awful. Had to rip them out with pliers, so what size nut and bolt do I need for my license plate? Thanks

Most people use those yellow plastic numberplate screws and nuts (which are M6).

Attaching anything to a perspex numberplate with metal bolts is asking for it to crack if you do them up too tight.

I suppose a neat alternative would be to use a stainless domed M6 socket head cap screw through a rubber grommet with a plastic washer either side and a nylok nut.

You could fall foul of a bored copper if you attach them using anything other than a yellow screw on a yellow bit or a black screw on a black bit.
