Vango Tents - Halfords Web Sale

I've no idea if this is of interest to anybody but Halfords have a web exclusive sale on whereby they're offering 20% off their (albeit smalle) Vango range.

I just came across the Vango Soul 200; it's reduced to £27.99! Could be ideal for the BCF BBQ or for the odd weekend away.

I've not used one myself but seem to believe Vango make pretty decent gear.

While I'm here,

Would a Vango Soul 200 fit me (5ft 7 and dumpy), my missus (5ft1 slim) and all our kit? For that price I may pick up one myself. It would only be used throughout the summer maybe spring time.

I think it would be a tight squeeze. In general (and there are exceptions to this), a 2-man tent has enough room in the inner for two people inside it and not much else.

Any other stuff would need to go in the proch area and that one doesn't have a very big porch.

I'd suggest it would be ok for a one or two nighter with two of you but if the weather cut up nasty, you could be having a miserable time owing to a combination of lack of space and wet gear in with you.

Aye, as Stinky says, they're 2 berth rather than 2 man, and your gear needs a berth of its own. My 1 man is big for what it is, but although I'm a shortarse, it's cramped with my gear inside.

I have a Vango Storm 300+ which is 'supposed' to be a three man tent. With me sleeping diagonally across (at 5ft 8") with my panniers to one side and my bike kit the other, I'd say I'm living comfortably.

No idea about your specified tent, but if it's a two man tent - then my advice would be to leave it alone (if you intend on camping more than once or twice).

get yourself a highlander arran 300 a better version of khyam with thick waterproof sewn in ground sheet fitted right into the porch aera guy ropes attached to the poles instead of the fly sheet so no tent collapse in windy conditions , jus hunt the web for a deal got mine for £80 they have to be good highlander supply armies with there stuff as you,ll see on there website they have military side as well to buy from
