A slip road would be the start of an M road.
M roads unless stated would be 70 no?

You're claiming it will do 20mph more so that's 90mph.
Yet you haven't taken it above an apparant 75mph.
Are you retarded? |
I've hit 90 on my 125r r5 (2005 model) with a +1 at the front sprocket, down quite a steep hill mind you! Had another 1k rpms to go til the red line but the tires where only rated to 94mph so i backed off. I was only half way down the hill as well. Would say it's push a tonne if the tires where higher speed rated but who knows?
Changed it back to standard sprockets and it pulls to 80 all day long.. Not bad for a bike with 30k on the clock.. 😁 |

Should have got an NSR or RS, both were actually designed from new to do over 100mph and have the wheels, tyres and brakes to match.
I kind of feel sorry for the 4 stroke generation, who don't get the cheap de-restriction options to pretty much double the power of their 125's. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

1, More money to spend on other things while their thimble sipping bikes save on petrol station visits and cash.
2, Not getting to work or girlfriends parents house stinking of partially unburnt two stroke oil.
3, more chance of getting to work on time 50 weeks of the year, without a broken bike or weekend engine rebuilds every few months if lucky. (Unless they forget to keep their 1litre of oil topped up that is).
4, Not feeling compelled to spend every spare penny on expansion chambers, big bore kits and full race tunes.
5, similar to above, not feeling the need to ride like a loon everywhere or wheelie away from every traffic light in a blue haze. |
I got a piston change down to half an hour on an old DT50mx.
Once i’d fitted the bore kit, I used to destroy a piston or ring about every 6 months so kept a spare in the garage and got up half an hour earlier for college!
I’m not sure modern 4t 125’s are much more reliable than a restricted 2t 125 was though.
NSR’s were good for 15k between a piston and rings kit. Other than that they were pretty solid. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

But how may threads do we get on here, asking for exactly that information on how to best spend money on some sort of hop up kit for a 4T 125, in the hope of 'derestricting' a bike that isn't actually restricted, it was built to put out whatever the limit is this week? (we are commenting in one of them)
And, as previously mentioned, 2Ts only become unreliable when you start messing with them, just like 4Ts.
As a courier in the early 80s, I ran 2T bikes and knew plenty of others who did, without any problems at all, unless you couldn't be bothered to maintain them, or went for poorly executed off piste mods. ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........
