https://treadeverywhere.com

Most useful sections:
https://www.treadeverywhere.com/prep.html -preparation for touring
https://www.treadeverywhere.com/eu.html - EU regulations

My brother set up a website in like 2007 but hasn't updated it since 2009 and i just remembered about it. Be warned, somethings may be outdated.

It has useful EU regulations you'd need to know when visiting european countries on a motorbike such as speed limits, emergency numbers, fines etc.
It also tells you how to prepare your motorcycle for a long tour and some other random stuff like photo's and places to eat.

It's not the most informative website but gives you some basic knowledge on riding abroad.

If you have any other questions i can ask him as he's only a phone call away. He's been to france four times, spain once, and toured around france/spain/italy/germany and a few other places at one point to. All on a gsxr600 and with his missus who rides a fazer 600.

Good site, mate.
Where would he buy the cargo netting from? Would be useful if I could get one.
