I am feeling a slight knock through my left foot peg. Feels like stones hiting my foot (its not stones lol). Not a major knock just like clicks.

Adjusted the wheel for less slack on the chain and stopped it for a while but has started again.

Only does it at pull off on when I put the throttle on from the off position.

Think it might be sprockets?

Any idea?....

Lube and adjust your chain, make sure rear wheel is straight. Also try dragging the rear brake just incase it is the pads.

Or chain or sprockets or wheel bearings or sprocket bearings or output shaft bearings or aliens.

My guess is a stiff link in the chain.

I had exactly the same when I first got my cbr.

How do you know that it is not stones? I had this once and it was stones and my mate Pete had the same and that was also stones (and a stick). Have a good look I bet you will find a stone (or/and a stick). If you should (and I don't think you will) find it is neither Stones or Sticks then it will be either Cush, Chain or Sprockets change these ASAP as unlike Sticks or Stones they will cause you to fall off and break your bones.

Ok so this morning after a short ride I lubbed my chain and the knock has gone.

Think that means either the chain or the sprocket?

I lube every week (wahey) but I forgot to do it last week so maybe the lube has been masking a problem?

Probably the chain.

A stiff link doesn't move properly which means it doesn't go round the sprocket properly. mine would jump/click as it went over the top of the rear sprocket. A stiff link would look like this, and is a sign that the chain is on it's last legs.:

You can loosen the chain (move the rear wheel forward/remove it) for access, then work the link back and forth in oil to loosen it, but it is only a temporary solution really.

Ok thanks, am going to remove the cover of the front sprocket today to have a good look and see whats going on and if I can find a stiff link.

If no then I guess its the sprocket so will be changing them!

Paddy will be proud as I will give it a go myself lol!!!!!
