What Brand Parts Fit On A Honda CG125 1999

I've heard that all the parts on honda's are interchangeable, does this mean for example i can buy a different make of motorcycle seat or wheel and it'll fit on Ok?

I was thinking of getting some different mirrors and got a little stuck because i'm not sure what will actually fit..

BEWAREtype 1 honda cg's have different engines , 6 volt electrics . then the type 2 's have 12 volt electrics, points , then cdi , then electric start .There's about 5 different seats , mostly non interchangable . Then different fork sizes , wheels etc .

on top of that there's a billion chinese clones ,All with slightly different bore x stroke sizes . Imagine it .....a chinese CG made by loads of DIFFERENT factories , using DIFFERENT CG type engines , made on site , in hundreds of casting foundries around china .

Cosmetticaly there's lots of choice , but a chinese cruiser type bike will cost you a fortune in chrome exhausts , lost panniers , cracking plastics.........so restoring an old CG MK 1 is a sensible option . David Silver Spares is good . Just BEWARE of anything that looks / appears CG , especially if you have a K1 6 volt first edition .

Type 1 3 x 16 rear , 2,75 x 17 , thin forks 6 volt genny , potatoe electrics , internal engine differences , different tank / seat .

type 2 3 x 17 2.75 x 17 , thicker forks , better drums , 12 volt , points / cdi / electric start .
