I bought a set of sprockets (chain is coming from another supplier) and a pair of Hiflo oil filters. Order was delivered today and when I opened up the package I was greeted by two Champion brand filters instead of the ones I ordered.

I double checked the parts I had ordered, and I had definitely been sent the wrong brand. Emailed their sales dept and within an hour or two they had replied to say that the Hiflo filters were out of stock when the order was picked, so the Champion filters were subbed in to expedite the order. More Hiflo filters had since come in and had been dispatched to me today. I offered to send the Champion ones back, but was told to keep hold of them.

Pretty good customer service IMO, would buy again.
Thumbs Up

I always thought of champion as being the more premium brand and HiFlo being the cheap ones. So haven't you just complained about them upgrading your filter for free?

One thing with them though. If you ever want to order something for a bitsa or a non-standard part, do NOT tell them what the bike is or they will send you the parts they think you should have ordered , not the ones you did order.

I once wanted a front and rear sprocket off two different bikes for a bitsa bike with a non-standard engine fitted, it needed a longer chain than either of them took as standard. While they do sell chains and sprockets seperately, it seems they wont sell you a front and rear sprocket off two different bikes, nor will they sell you a chain on pitch and number of links. I had a very recursive argument on the phone before I finally gave up.

I didn't know the brand champion, it appears to be fitted to some KTM's and Ducati's as EO though which would appear to be good.

Hiflo are TUV certified though so should still be purdy good I would have thought.
