Just wondering how many of you have them and what are they? Go on post a pic, you know you want to Wink

What do people here think of tattoos?

(If you don't like tatoos feel free to say, but please don't slag peoples personal tattoos off! Rolling Eyes )

I've got a big tribal / celtic one with a purple gemstone on my back, a flaming tribal sun with celtic knot in the middle on my left arm and a dragon on my right.
I'll sort out some proper photos later but for now, here's the before and after of my dragon cover-up. My best mate Manda is the best female tattooist around (in my opinion!) and this is her work.

I was watching MTV2 earlier, think it was TXT, DRUGS AND ROCK N ROLL and some dude had the H.I.M sign on his back and even though H.I.M are a crap band it looked pretty cool, I think all of those Chinese signs are way too common. Smile

Im thinking of getting the dianese sign tattoed on my left arm, pretty much smack over my BCG scar. Can you do tattoos over scars?

You can tattoo over scars but the skin will always look different so you might want to incorporate the scar into your design...

I'm guessing you can, a scar afterall, is only new skin tissue. Smile

Tattoos in general look wank. I particularly despise chinese writing and celtic designs - they just look so cheap and tacky.
If its a particularly good design and look really good, i can appreciate it on someone else, but I'd much rather not have a picture scrawled into my own skin.

Nah, none on my body, not interested either.

I see it as though once you've got it, your stuck for life with it. They run / fade and look shit after a few years.

I have no prejudice against people with them either mind. I do admire some artwork and think some look great!

Just not my cup of tea.

I am currently designing some for myself, I would never get a tattoo done by someone else or just chosen from a book.

Thats when you get them recolured. Modern ink is a lot better than the green blobs on you grandads arms. Look after them and they'll last a while.

Lol, I saw that too, was that just before they got that guy kicked out of the casino and he trundled off on his little electric scooter.
On the subject of tattoos, Ive never thought of getting one, but a small one of my girlfriends name is quite a cool idea. Mind you I think the one up there /\ is pretty damn cool! Thumbs Up

Cheers, Jonathan

I used to want one, not sure if I do still or not, wouldn't want anything big and not sure where, don't want anything particularily noticeable.... probably won't get a tattoo but if I see something I particularily like then I might change my mind.

Did have a Nottingham Forest logo on my right shoulder, now covered up with a tribal sun, hopefully getting some more tattoo's soon enough, quite fancy something on one of my pecs, something at the bottom of my back and maybe something on the top of my left arm. I am all for having tattoo's, but I only like ones that can be covered up, go to the extreme situation such as a funeral, you don't want 'LOVE' and 'HATE' tattooed on your knuckles or some crap like that on show.

The question you should be asking is why did we both pick Suzuki?

It is always wise to have your tattoos where you can hide them if you have to. Face and hand tattoos are illegal because people couldn't get work etc Rolling Eyes Pick wisely Thumbs Up
