Was only a matter of time before he announced it. He's leaving F1 at the end of this year and moving to Porsche's LMP1 sportscar programme for a multi year contract. Decent, down to earth bloke that unfortunately got shat on a fair few times in his career.

He was never enough to win a championship. He will also never win a championship no matter what he races

Decent down to earth bloke who whored himself to a scumbag bank (santander). The same bank that billed my bro for leaving his account empty, then billed him for an un-authorised overdraft (the amount of the original bill, which put his account into the red). After doing that a few times he 'owed' them over £300. They never got it of course but still, the scum tried.

So yeah, Webber...decent chap with his racing salary of millions, still needs more money and takes the santander dollar. Down to earth...yeah.

Please, spare us. Puke

What, making yourself look like a cheap tool on a banking billboard, even though you were already being paid millions by the race team?

I wouldn't and I'd laugh in their faces for asking. Jesus, how much is your self-respect worth? Go from racing god to cheap bank whore and look like an utter wanker? Confused

Yeah but Santander have a major say in all this. Santander pay McLaren good money to advertise their company on the cars livery and part of that contract is promotion away from the race track. As employees of McLaren, i doubt they really have a choice. You could always protest and lose your drive and end up on the dole or racing for Caterham, not sure which is worse to be fair.

As Speed says, there'll be advertising worked into these sponsorship deals.

So if you want to hetzer-hate on people, it should be the team owners who use teh drivers as pawns and force them to do it

If I was already a millionaire you bet I'd turn down anything I didn't genuinely think was a pukka product.

Right now I'd promote cluster-bombs and fucking mustard-gas if I was offered enough dosh.

It's where I work, Hetz. Points = bonuses and therefore a better driver = better bike, etc.

No faggotry involved.

Advanced digital engineering. That's an interesting way of saying rapid prototyping.
