Hi Folks
I have a little YBR125 at the moment and have been wanting to go bigger for a while I have the chance of a 600 Ducati Monster I have rode the bike and it seem to ride well does anyone know of any problems or anything I should look out for before buying the bike.
Thanks Stev

Rust and corrosion might be a problem, look out for basic dodgy electrics, my indicators etc. stopped working.

Expect to have to bump start when cold, I don't remember one winters day when mine started off the button.

Expect a crap top speed of about 105mph.

Handling is pretty good though.

Oh and expect it to sound like a tractor. (Stubby exhaust help stop that a little.) Very Happy

Like others have said, nice bikes when they are going otherwise expect to be out of pocket replacing parts!

Iain has it spot on I'd consider other 600's or even 650's, a lot more reliable and cheaper to maintain and replace.

Look for the 750 Monster, fun enough bike and still sounds awesome.

But... it doesn't have a dry clutch, so it isn't a real Ducati in some peoples eyes.
