Hi All,

I have seen a few posts of the RF600R. The bike is incredible. Although it is WAY heavier and less responsive than my friend's 2001 CBR600, I still think that it has way more than I need ATM. I don't have the experience on it to understand the lack of pull problem...AKA dead spot in the RPM range. I have ridden a lot of bikes but have now only owned 1.

FIRST NIGHT:

I dropped it..... Went around a turn and hit some gravel. I was probably going about 5-8 MPH...... Result more scratches on the same side already.... It was dropped once at a light. Fairly.... Or as I tell my wife... "BARELY" skinned arm"" Second day, it fell on me again...... Didn't hit the ground though.. Called my friend told him the whole story.....
" Bought a bike... Have a problem riding slow.... Ummmm, NO. Haven't checked the tire pressure. It looks fine.... The Dunlops have good tread in the front...OK in the rear...."

" You idiot! Go actually check it.."

" Hrm... says 42 psi cold. Only had 11 psi.."

<CLICK>

" Hey Skye, the bike is great now and feels very stable. Actually stable and tough to hang on to like yours!"

I have been off bikes for a VERY long time. Mostly dirt riding, and very high speed early 90's "High Speeds." Sport bikes aren't the same anymore. ALL sport bikes now are superbikes IMO.

Maybe I am hitting my mid life crisis early or something!?!

Anyone know where to get flush mount turn signals, a new shifter lever, the paint code and a big ice pack for my left side?

(Hey the thing is heavy when sitting on top of you when you are laughing and crying at the same time!)

All in all, riding is riding. I love it. There is no other feeling in the world.............. I did give away my convertible Vette. My father always wanted one and I wan't using it at all with 1 then 2 new kids...

1995 Suzuki RF 600 R....... 5083 miles. $2,500. Vance & Hines pipe.... (LOUD for the neighbors! Mad Surprised Mad Shocked ) Plus an HID bright Headlight.... Much better visibility on a bike. It does make a difference the few times I have been out. It was worth every cent.

All in all, the only complaint is that my hands get painful when not crouching down. The bike is quick and hasn't been above 80 or so yet. Not that I want it to be higher than that on New England roads.

Learning to ride all over again and loving it.

Take care,

-Mike_______D

First of this is a primarily UK forum - not trying to scare you off, but we won't be able to help you source parts etc.

You got rid of a convertible corvette for an RF600? madness. I want a corvette.
