Sony Xperia Z Tablet?

Has anyone bought one of these instead of the normal Ipad4/ Galaxy Note?

I used to have an android phone (SGS2) but preferred my work Iphone4S so I use that now, and the wife has an Ipad mini which is nice to use but a bit on the small side I think, so I want one of the larger tablets.

There's a fair few reviews saying how good the Xperia Z is, on par if not better than the Ipad4 and the expandable memory is a BIG +.

It's going to replace my laptop which is on it's last legs (4 years old, probably use it for 4+ hours a day) as we have another i5 laptop in the house I can use, or my work laptop too so I won't be missing out in that respect.

Any info or advice appreciated!

I couldn't offer much advice with the Tablet Z, looks nice if not a bit over priced.

But have you considered the Nexus 10? Much cheaper, bit slower processor but with a better resolution and ppi. It does lack the sd card slot though but you do get the added bonus of reliable and timely Android updates and a lower price.

As pretty as a Tablet Z is, I'll be getting a Nexus 10 in a few months. Just waiting for the net hardware revision to appear.

I own a good tablet. But due to me owning a good phone and a good laptop, the tablet rarely sees any usage. It doesn't do anything the phone can't (just with a bigger screen) and the laptop can do things that the tablet can't much more easily.

I bought the nexus 10, as explained on here in my thread there is a way to expand the memory using a memory stick and a micro - full usb port extender.

already running android 4.3 and the device is made by samsung.

I like it, but this is just one persons opinion so take it as you will.
