Did you see it? What's the point? When I asked that question the guy said Ducati provided it FOC. Bet we're still paying for the petrol for plod to be jazzing round on it instead of catching burglars, bike thieves and chavs in Novas with no insurance.

Various police forces acquire high end performance bikes generally as publicity. They've been known to visit biker meeting places to pass on the road safety (we'll nick you) message.

Used on many bike safe schemes. Has been the likes of fireblades in the past.

Apparently the thinking is it gets them closer to bikers and therefore easier to get their message across because they relate to the machines.

Beware the rider on a sports bike wearing a white helmet I say!
