Hi all, I've seen some leather jackets on ebay and amazon for just £70 with protection etc... has anyone got or seen any of these GearX jackets and if they're any good?

read the amazon review:
I bought this jacket from Samz sports, the importer for gearx. I know gearX are a cheap brand but I would expect a jacket, which is designed to save you in a crash, to not tear so easily. The leather is such poor quality that it tore just from my hands being in my pocket. It is pathetic. I have contacted gearx and Samz Sports but they refuse to answer. I have sent 4 emails with the pictures. I have tried ringing but they aren't answering. They are completely ignoring me.
This jacket is cheap for a reason. DO NOT BUY!!!! Your life is worth more than this!!!!

buy your leathers from a respected brand -

Alpinestars, Held, Arlen Ness, dianese, etc...

cheap shit is cheap shit, at the end of the day it's how much you think your safety and wellbeing is worth.

Id rather buy second hand decent gear than cheap new gear.
My mate has a "GEAR" textile jacket, and in less than a year its in tatters - he has never been down the road in it, its just fallen to bits.

I bought a 2nd Hand 2 piece Leather Dianese suit yesterday ( from A BCF member as it goes) for less than the cost of that jacket, there are bargains to be had, just look around ebay,gumtree etc until you find something Wink
