No claims with 125 insurance?!

Someone forgot to cancel the bike insurance when it was sold but it runs out in August anyway. Do you build up no claims with L plate insurance so I'd have a head start with real bike insurance?!

I would guess you would. You havent made a claim, therefore you should get a 1 years no claims bonus.

However, no claims bonuses are only valid for a certain length of time, I think 4 years, possiby 5

Yes you build up no claims on l plates so keep it running till you get your 1 year

And no claims are normally only valid if you are never un-insured for longer than 2 years

I worded that pretty badly Laughing

I meant, if you do not insure a vehicle at all in a 2 year period, the ncb you had before that become invalid

Some companies might say 2 years, others say four or five. It's entirely up to the broker to decide.

Indeed that's why I said normally, down to each company, every one I've ever insured a car or bike with has been 2 years however

Better hope that whoever you sodl it to doesn't have any kind of accident or theft. Technically since you insure the bike still it could become your liability.

I had 1 years no claims from a 50cc scooter which I transferred onto a 600cc diversion without any problems, also I had a policy with MCE on the scooter and they were going to let me use the NCB on the GPz after almost 3 years as I was taking the policy with them again (OK so I found my most recent document and it was within the 2 years anyway

Bike was a shed, was taken away to be stripped and reborn so not likely be be on the roads yet Laughing

Same here. Ones I have been with when I have asked have only allowed a 2 year gap before saying it has lapsed.
