The other day I took a wrong turn in the parking and ebded up pointing to a particularly steep hill that my fiat 500 wouldn't've made it up and even if it did I would've had to turn back and come down anyway.

So, instead I took the pedestrian route that had bollards just wider than the old classic - rather entertaining using a crossing in a car, especially as a 4x4 pulled up to let me go

Reminds me of an MR2 I once had.

I often park my car straddling the line (taking two spaces). Sometimes even four.

I wouldn't have to if the great unwashed had the common decency not to scratch/dent my car with their doors.

Some of those two space straddlers might have parked like that, 'cos someone else already had and they parked next to them, and there was no where else left and no way to park without straddling another space, then the original offender has driven off, left them looking guilty .
