I use my bike everyday come rain or shine. I work nights then go to college (going to uni in sept) and would be late for lessons if I drove a car.
But the amount of idiots that come out in the summer and tear about like aresoles after a vindaloo are doing my nut in. I am no angel as far as speeding is concearned but when I come across a bike going slower than me I always get up behind them and make sure they have seen me before overtaking. Twice in the last two weeks I have nearly been hit from behind by bikes zooming past just at the point of when I am about to overtake a car. I am pretty certain that those individuals are your equivelant of the Sunday driver but worse in that they show no respect to other bikers.

On the other hand now the weather's picked up I've come across plenty of bimblers hesitating and taking an age to pluck up enough courage to pass a car at a time on my favourite roads. I'll just sit behind for a second in a prominent position so I'm visible in their mirror, I'll give them one overtaking chance as I see it without making a move but if they don't take it I'll get past myself and carry on with my life.

Still always leave plenty of space for other bikers though just in case they have a wobble or decide to launch out at the last minute, if you're getting buzzed then you're just unlucky enough to be meeting twats everywhere, passing with inches to spare is just daft so they're either stupid or trying to make a point and scare you, neither of which is clever.

I got buzzed yesterday. Surprised me somewhat as I wasnt tootling along. Indicated, mirror lifesaver oh bike fuckkk. He must have been really shifting to catch me like that. Still, no kittens or nuns hurt.

The biggest thing that bugs me is idiots that filter when there just isn't space for a bike to fit and force oncoming traffic to move, I like to think I'm a courteous rider.
