Yeah, I saw this a couple of days ago - if anything, I'm hoping it might bring back a bit of the old 35mm hobbyist movement, although I doubt it will. As for a printed helmet mount, there's no reason why not.
I'd need some sketches or a camera to work from, but it's do-able.

For those of you who find this sort of thing exciting, I also have a couple of lasercutters next to me at the moment, as well as a CNC router on its way to me at the end of the month. I'm getting to the stage where I can work most materials, as long as they're not ceramics or metal.
