We are adding new models to our engine bar /crashbar range.

Next model we want to do is the 1200 Triumph Explorer

Here is the deal!

1. We will need to borrow your bike for aprox 1 week- it will not be ridden and will be kept securely in our r&d and treated as our own. You will need to be local to deliver it to us- we can drop you home locally or to the station.

2. As thanks for this you will get a free set of crashbars from the first batch- we can either deliver them to you or (preferably0 you can come back to have them fitted free of charge as of course we will need a little time to make and finish them etc.

Interested?- we just need one bike so get an email down to Ian Howell in sales on sales@motad.co.uk

If you ever feel the need to produce some stainless downpipes for a ZX7R (I'm sure they'd be a good seller) then I'd be happy to lend you mine for a week.

we made a 2-1 for years but sales have dried up and its now discontinued- think David Silver Spares still have stock

Just not enough demand for oe downpipes and and a lot of people would want an original exact copy which would be mega expensive to make the tooling for the double skin pipe

would not disagree- and with the chinese jobs failing inside 12 months there is a market I am sure

Here is the problem!-

We are a company selling exhausts to a wide range of people

The person buying a replacemet exhaust need to know its road legal, will be ok for Mot and will not affect their insurance etc etc .

Our system is at that noise level because to meet the above specs- thats what is needed

you are all grown ups on the forum and are taking a personal view that you are happy to take (the very small) risj of riding with a noisy exhaust and knowing a relaxed MOT tester etc who will give you a certificate

I have been "in the trade" for 35 years and know the chances of grief/being pulled for a noisy exhaust is small- its simply that as a company we need to comply and protect the other riders without your views and knowledge

And most of the stubby cans have nver been near a noise meter!!- and in many cases never near a dyno or the bike its being sold for!!

sorry no- with 99% being used for commuting/touring we just make a "proper" silencer which has the link pipe as an integral part of it and don't make just the link pipes
