When I turned my bike off just now, the radiator sounded like a boiling kettle :s is that normal on a 30 degree day??

Check you have enough coolant in your expansion bottle.

There was so much heat coming off the engine, that is made my knees all red. I've been off the bike for the past hour and they are still red and hot.

When you say kettle do you mean litearlly like a boiling/steaming kettle, or just some sort of hissing Confused

I guess hissing could be hot air releasing from a tiny leak as someone mentioned, if its boiling/steaming sound and you definately have enough coolant - how long since you last did a coolant change Confused
