After reading into the threads a bit deeper and then looking at my bike I have noticed that there aren't any cables running to the YPVS.
Does this sound like major problems?

Dt`s were supplied 12bhp compliant, without the powervalve controller fitted
This loss of power, what happens on the hill if you change down(without over revving) is there still no power?
First thing would check and possibly replace the plug, then air filter then clean out the exhaust
