Acting like a cunt and pulling out in front of cars on busy roundabouts whilst wearing nothing more than a pair of shorts, trainers and a stig helmet do not make you look cool.

I pity the ambulance folk that end up scraping you off the road.

I've gone out the last few days wearing shorts, t-shirt, lid and trainers (not even tied). I've been up to about XXXmph at times, but I'll always make sure the road is clear and if I fuck up then I know I'll be about half a mile of sticky mess on the road. Same if I was wearing full bike gear, only difference being I'd be about half a mile of broken sticky mess.

I've seen others with t-shirts and shorts on on bikes, I've also had some strange looks from people in full bike gear.... it's the riders choice at the end of the day is it not?

You could theorise that people who wear no safety gear are more likely to ride recklessly on the basis that they're not considering the consequences of their actions, or rather don't concern themselves with the consequences in the same way as Mr safety gear.
On that basis it actually makes sense that he was riding like a loon.
It'd be weird if he wasn't.

Everybody views risk differently, and there will always be some at the far end of the spectrum who would happily do track days in flip flops, shorts and sunglasses if they were allowed.
The majority of people fall somewhere in the middle and wear a mix of safety gear, while at the other end are people who equate motorbikes with instant death.

Or he might be an idiot.

ho hum.

Usually I don't care, however he would have t-boned the missus car if she hadn't slammed the anchors on.

The more important question is, after said accident, would I check to see if the bike was OK first.
